ตโยธัมมชาดก ชาดกว่าด้วยผู้ธรรม 3 ประการ

พระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้าทรงปรารถนาจะปลอบใจพระภิกษุทั้งหลาย ให้คลายความวิตกกังวลห่วงใยในพระองค์ และเลิกใส่ใจในการกระทำของพระเทวทัต เพราะพระเทวทัตมิได้ตามจองล้างจองผลาญพระองค์ เฉพาะในชาตินี้เท่านั้น แม้ในชาติก่อนๆ ก็ได้พยายามทำร้ายพระองค์มาโดยตลอด แต่ก็ยังไม่เคยทำได้สำเร็จเลยสักครั้ง

จงอย่าทำร้ายผู้อื่นในทุกกรณี

เมื่อไม่ต้องการได้รับทุกข์โทษต่างๆ และไม่ต้องการเวรภัยอะไรกับใคร ก็อย่าไปทำร้ายใคร รวมทั้งอย่าไปติดร้ายใคร
